About us
Message from the President :
There is and always has been a dramatic gap between theory and Practice, between wisdom to be found in books and success in day-to-day business. Bridging this gap is an effort in itself costly,
both in term of time and money for any student. This is why the plea for more applicable type of Education is being heard all over the world.
History
European College was founded in 1988 by the group of Academicians as a College of Languages to train students and teachers located on the heart of city of London. The London campus was established in the year 1988, with the aim to expand the scope of education beyond the borders into greater Europe. England is the mother nation of modern world and the seat of ancient Knowledge.
- The 1995s saw a substantial amount of growth of the campus – arrangement of a library, an audio-visual/resource centre, sports facilities and teaching rooms.
- In the 1996s, the College expanded its portfolio of degrees as well as in-service and adult education provision. The Business studies and Information Technology became ecumenical to reflect the diversity of students.
- The 1998s saw the EXPANSION of European College, this was followed by the opening of Collierswood branch and Thetford School in Cambridgeshire in 1998.
2000 and beyond
EUROPEAN COLLEGE continues to grow as a College in the University sector.
All academic departments are divided into three faculties –
Business & Management,
Information Technology and
English Language.
Aims of the College:
One of the founding principles of the European College has been the desire to enable most students to enter into education where they have perhaps missed the aims of a traditional route.
To this end we encourage applications from the mature students, students in employment, and
those who are unemployed.
